Be began to develop twofishe because we wanted to make finding the right gifts for your friends and family more of a pleasure and less of a chore.
we looked around
A while back, we were looking around for gifts and inevitably that meant a google search and several visits to several sites selling what they though that we were looking for. After discounting the sites selling experiences, we were left with the likes of notonthehighstreet.com, iwantoneofthose.com, firebox.com, and then to some of the less well known sites like prezzybox.com, treatbox.com and maiagifts.co.uk.
The top of the list seemed to be occupied by sites selling products that you might not want to buy for yourself, and as presents, they may be gratefully received before being consigned to the cupboard.
The last couple were interesting. One concentrated on food parcels, so very specific, and the other was interesting because on first impressions, it appeared to have a strong personality, and unlike those at the top of the list, was supplying products that all occupied a similar mind-space.
This was pretty much the approach we had already established in our mind, and so we set about bringing twofishe to life.
we added our personalities
We take an ethical approach to sourcing our products, and would like to think that we are eco-friendly rather than eco-warriors. We are conscious of our impact on the world, and so we wanted to present a product range that reflected this.
We do what we can to source ethically by developing relationships with ethical suppliers.
We also supply only those products that we would be happy to buy ourselves, or that we would be pleased to receive. This is our filter, and helps ensure that the products we offer for sale are consistently match our vision.
what we offer
It is not feasible for a person, or an organisation, to please everyone, all the time.
Whether we enjoy buying gifts for friends and family, or whether we see it as a bit of a chore, the activity becomes much more pleasurable if we aren’t wasting our time filtering out stuff in which we have no interest.
So, working on the assumption that we are aligning with our customers on the grounds that they will have similar tastes and requirements to ourselves, twofishe becomes a site for inspiration rather than being a site where you need to bring your own.
