Mookaite is a variety of jasper, made up of the remains of microscopic organisms called Radiolaria. It can be incredibly colourful and is often used for decorative purposes.  The Mookaite deposit is found on private land in Mooka Creek, in Western Australia. This type of jasper is not found anywhere else in the world.

It is claimed the name “mookaite” comes from the Aboriginal word for “running water”.

Mookaite is said to help promote meaningful dreams and enhance the ability to remember, thereby providing insights into the subconscious mind and facilitating spiritual growth through dream exploration.

It is also said to have healing properties, and is believed to improve problem-solving abilities through the promotion of logical thinking.
