Shea body butter is a popular moisturiser made from shea butter, a fat extracted from the nut of the African shea tree. It is known for its deeply hydrating and nourishing properties, making it a great choice for dry, sensitive, or damaged skin.
The Shea Body Butters that stocked previously were sourced, by our suppliers, from overseas, and were supplied ready mixed and packaged in the tin. Whilst there has never been any issue with the quality, times have changed and our suppliers have now started to produce local alternatives.
The tins of body butters have always been good, and we know because we have used them ourselves, but don’t you think it’s more environmentally friendly to source locally? Sourcing locally allows for improved control over production, a reduction in transport costs and the opportunity for local feedback?
You may remember the previous selection:

They came in 180g tins, and so were fairly substantial … and they cost £13.45 each.
The new tins weigh in at 90g, and therefore maybe not so good for throwing, but since they only cost £5.00, they represent a saving of around 25% on the old price!
The fragrances have also been improved, along with their names, but that may just be a matter of personal preferences, taste, or smell.
So, however you look at it, we have been able to update the scents and reduce the prices, so out with the old and in with the new!

Shea body butter is whipped from the nuts of the African shea tree. It is know to be a luxurious moisturiser and is widely appreciated for its rich texture.
Our updates, slightly scented Shea Body Butters are made with high quality fragrance oils and are ideal for everyday use after a bath or shower as well as for body massages.
The richly moisturising concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids helps to moisturise and nourish the skin, and the high fat content makes it ideal for locking in moisture and keeping skin hydrated.
This new selection of rich body butters work to leave skin feeling perfectly conditioned, soft and smooth.

Shea Body Butter offers a wealth of benefits for the skin. Its rich composition of fatty acids and vitamins endows it with the ability to moisturise deeply, to nourish, and to soothe even the driest skin. The anti-inflammatory properties of shea butter can also help calm irritation and reduce redness, whilst its antioxidant content helps protect the skin from environmental damage.
By improving skin elasticity, shea butter can also contribute to a more youthful appearance, so whether used as an all-over moisturiser or as a targeted treatment for dry areas, shea body butter provides a natural and effective solution for healthy, hydrated, and radiant skin.
